| I enjoyed the course, however, I am pleased to have finished so that I can move onto further work related training. I will endeavour to implement what I have learnt during Frontline whilst at work. |

| The course was very productive and has taught me a lot about the art of displaying the books, how to recommend books to borrower and encourage them to perhaps try a book genre that they would have tried before. |

| I found this course really interesting and enjoyable. It's given me useful information about helping customers to find an enjoyable read, and I've picked up many useful tips concerning displays. |

| Found it hard to find the time to do the course. It was quite enjoyable but could have done with some help as I felt I was floundering a bit. Would be nice to have someone to double up with and do it together or actually meet with your supervisor to get some encouragement which is difficult if your supervisor is based somewhere else. |

| I really enjoyed the course and it has enabled me to make a more valuable contribution to my work, whether by recomending books to readers in an objective way, or executing successful promotions. I now feel fairly confident in planning displays and know what steps to take to improve borrowing. |

| Doing 'Frontline' was an excellent opportunity to try new ideas and take risks, something i wouldn't have done before i don't think. It has helped remind me of the power of reading for everyone |

| I have enjoyed participating in the Frontline course.I have learnt alot about displaying books and what to look for in displays.I am confident now in asking people's opinions on books and even recommending some borrowers on diffferent books. |

| I have enjoyed the Frontline Experience but would have been grateful for more time. However I know this hasn't been possible. I find it useful to exchange ideas with other people and I know that I have more confidence talking to readers about books and recommending them. I feel that all the staff have a greater rapport with many of our regular readers. |

| I have enjoyed doing frontline even though I thought I wouldn't. I have looked at what I do and what the public want with fresh eyes. |

| A lot of staff who I work with are quite negative about Frontline and feel they don't get enough time to do it.
I have never been negative about Frontline myself and get several funny looks when I get enthusiastic about it.
I think it's fear of the unknown - is it going to be like a school exam? I don't read much why should I do it? I already know my job - is it teaching me to suck eggs?
These are comments I have heard concerning Frontline.
I really enjoyed the modules especially the ones that involved me talking to customers and doing displays.
Modules 6 and 7 were my favourite i'm not going to tell you why as this will spoil the surprise for you. |

| I really enjoyed doing this course. It helped me to see my work in the library in a different light. It gave me lots of useful information and tips on how to maximize what a library can offer. |

| I really enjoyed the course - it opens your eyes to what is really going on in your users minds when they look around,
It has also opened my mind to different authors and genres for my own reading. |
| Haughton Green Library, 24/08/2010 |

| Believe it or not, I really enjoyed the course. It gave me some interesting ideas on how to freshen up displays in my library and I feel that issues have increased as a direct result. It has also been nice to have contact with library staff from all over the country. |
| Rhymney Library, 23/08/2010 |

| Good course but dragged a bit towards the end. I found the work on displays the most interesting, especially the module which dealt with using imagery and colour on covers when setting up a display, rather than the genre of the book. |

| I enjoyed the course very much - it was awash with good ideas - a lot of them are of course just common sense but it's finding time to think about them in a structured way!
I would recommend that all staff partake in the course as soon as possible and then everyone understands what you are trying to achieve with displays and activ e reader development.
We will use a lot of the ideas in the run up to our Literature Festival, which will put it more in the public eye! |

| I have really enjoyed this training experience and would recommend anyone to start now !
It has opened my eyes to the public prospective on our displays and the way we present books.
I have had great support from my suppervisor and positive responses to most of my displays. |

| The course made me more aware of my library environment and the readers that use it. Hopefully the stimulating nature of the course will help me do my job to a higher level and help other people to enjoy the valuable resource that is the library system. |
| Northcote, 22/08/2010 |

| The course has given me lots of ideas on how to create good book displays and how variouse libraries have different ways of running promotional displays for their library readers. |
| Harrow Libraries, 21/08/2010 |

| I enjoyed doing this course and it certainly gave me plenty of display ideas as well as enabling me to look at my library with fresh eyes. I found it easy to use especially now I am in sole charge of my own little library and can organise my displays without reference to anyone else! |
